A Squirrel in the Garden

Eating what's left of a big bowl of sunflower seeds.
I'm not sure if it's a baby squirrel or a Swiss.

Aaaw, how cute! Look at his fluffy tail...
Happy Easter, afterwards... I finally did some "gardening" on the balcony yesterday but the seeds will have to stay in for some weeks, also the geraniums.

Hi Clivia,
My sons decided to feed the squirrels, much to my despair. We have a lot of them and they do damages to the garden.
So you'll be soon rewarded with nice vegies from your "container" garden. Here's a link for you Clivia, you may find it interesting. http://www.containerseeds.com/ Take a look at the few articles maybe and there's also the Newsletter archives which you might want to see.
Geraniums! I have to buy mine soon. I like to have 6 pots of the white type on the front deck.

Hi Spicehut,
It is french, with a quebecer's accent for sons.
Take care!

hee hee!

About five years ago, my parents had a really bad squirrel problem (eating fruit from the trees, ruining the front and back gardens)...my dad built this HUGE humane trap and started catching them all and drove them to a nearby park...that summer, MyMostMarvellousManager mentioned how, all of a sudden, he had a tonne of squirrels in his backyard...yup, his home backs onto the park my dad freed the squirrels in...:)

Ha ha ha!!!!

I can imagine how your MostMarvellousManager felt about the sudden increase in squirrels population he had.
I decided to live in peace with them. I know I can't win the battle against them. So now before planting anything, I check if the squirrels like it or not. If they like it, I don't plant it. Éric proofed the house so they don't enter in through the roof to nest and have their babies. Meanwhile, my sons have fun feeding them and observing them.
